" cruising " was originaly intended only for private use. After a trip to Las Vegas I decided to compose music for the journeys all over europe my girlfriend and me dreamed of. When it was done, I realized that I was looking for this kind of music long time before: gently grooving, easy going, light and joyfull, but also sad. I think of it as hello-goodbye-music. It is a romantic projection: Drinking & Driving. Beeing “On the road”, feeling good … It is ridiculous, considering reality: too many cars on german highways to feel free. The gas price is up to 1,20 €. You better go by bicycle. Dedicated to Emily2000.
"Cruising" ist Musik zum Autofahren… Die romantische Projektion von "on the road" im Zeitalter von 1,20 EUR pro Liter Sprit. Sich frei bewegen auf bundesdeutschen Autobahnen (!) oder auf Highway 66 (Reiseführer in der Tasche) mit guten Feelings… Drinking & Driving. Der musikalische Entwurf beschwört eine Easy-Rider-Sehnsucht nach Sorglosigkeit, die natürlich nicht haltbar ist. Amerika vor dem Fall der Twins. Momente des Glücks sind besonders leicht vergänglich. Emily2000 gewidmet.
